Tie Rod End: Service and Repair
REMOVAL PROCEDURE

Tools Required:

J 24319-B Steering Linkage and Tie Rod Puller
1. Raise and support the vehicle.
2. Remove the front wheel and tire assembly. Refer to TIRE AND WHEEL REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION in TIRES AND WHEELS.
3. Place matchmarks on the following components:

The outer tie rod (3)
^
The inner tie rod nut (2)
^
The inner tie rod (1)
4. Loosen the inner tie rod nut (2).
5. Remove the outer tie rod cotter pin (2).
6. Remove the outer tie rod nut (1).
