Prizm L4-108 1.8L DOHC VIN 8 MFI (1998)
1. Install the key lock solenoid (1) into the ignition switch (2). Secure the ignition switch with 2 screws.
2. Install the key lock solenoid (2) electrical connector to the key lock solenoid.
3. Install the knee bolster. Refer to Knee Bolster Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Warning Indicators.
IMPORTANT: Upon completion of the key lock solenoid installation, perform the following steps to ensure proper operation:

With the manual selector lever in the Park position, the ignition switch CAN be turned from ACC to LOCK position and the ignition key CAN
be removed from the ignition switch.

With the manual selector in any position other than Park position, the ignition switch CANNOT be turned from ACC to LOCK position.
4. Install the negative (-) battery cable.
