Shift Interlock Control Module: Service and Repair
4 Speed-MS7 Automatic Transmission
REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect in Service Precautions.
2. Remove the center console. Refer to Console Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Warning Indicators.
3. Remove the shift indicator bulb from the shift indicator.
4. Remove 4 screws from the shift indicator.
5. Reposition the shift indicator in order to gain access to the shift lock control module.
6. Remove the electrical connectors (2,3) from the shift lock solenoid and the shift lock switch assembly (1).
