Condenser HVAC: Service and Repair
Condenser Replacement
REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Refrigerant from the system.
2. Upper fan shroud.
3. Radiator.
4. Shields at either side of the radiator Support.
5. Condenser retainers (121) and insulators (120).
6. Condenser lines (110 and 111).
7. Condenser (21).
INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Condenser (2).
2. Condenser retainers (121) and insulators (120)
^
Tighten mounting bolts (122) to 6 Nm (62 in. lbs.).
3. Condenser lines (110 and 111) to the condenser (2).
^
Tighten nuts (110 and 111) to 24 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).
4. Radiator.
5. Upper fan shroud.
6. Refrigerant to the system.
^
Evacuate, charge and leak test.
