License Plate Lamp: Service and Repair

Description
Remove or Disconnect

Make sure the headlamp switch is in the OFF position.

Make sure the ignition switch is in the LOCK position.
1. Screws that retain the license plate lamp to the license plate bracket.
2. License plate lamp from the license plate bracket.
3. Bulb and socket from the license plate lamp.

Rotate the bulb and socket 1/4 turn counterclockwise to remove.
4. Bulb from the socket.
5. Electrical connector.
6. License plate lamp from the vehicle.

Reach up behind the bumper to remove.
Install or Connect
1. License plate lamp to the vehicle.
2. Electrical connector.
3. Bulb to the socket.
4. Bulb and socket from the license plate lamp.

Rotate the bulb and socket 1/4 turn clockwise to install.
5. License plate lamp to the license plate bracket.
6. Screws that retain the license plate lamp to the license plate bracket.
Tighten
-
Screws to 1.4 N.m (12 lb in).
