Fluid - Transfer Case: Service and Repair
REMOVE OR DISCONNECT

Raise the vehicle and suitably support it.
1. Transfer case shield.

Place a drain pan under the drain plug.
2. Drain plug. Allow the oil to drain.
3. Fill plug.
INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Drain plug.

Apply pipe sealant to the threads of the drain plug before installing.

Tighten drain plug to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).
2. Fill the transfer case with oil.
3. Fill plug.

Apply pipe sealant to the threads of the fill plug before installing.
-
Tighten fill plug to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).
4. Transfer case shield.
-
Lower the vehicle.
