S10/T10 Blazer 4WD V6-4.3L VIN W (1997)
are storing a steering column, do not rest the column with the bag opening facing down and the column vertical. Provide free space for the air bag to
expand in case of an accidental deplyment. Otherwise, personal injury may result.
Install or Connect
1. Electrical connector and CPA retainer.
2. SIR lead wire to the clip on the steering wheel.
3. SIR lead wire to the clip on the inflator module.
4. Inflator module by pressing it firmly onto the steering wheel to engage the latch the leaf springs on the four notched pins.

Make sure that the SIR wires do not get pinched during installation of the inflator module.
5. Enable the SIR system. See: Air Bag(s) Arming and Disarming/Service and Repair/Enabling the SIR System
6. Negative battery cable.
