Four Wheel Drive Selector Switch: Service and Repair

Selector Switch Replacement
REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Negative battery cable.
2. Front floor console.
3. Switch connector from the wiring harness connector.
4. Two screws securing the switch to the bracket.
5. Switch from the bracket.
INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Switch to the bracket.

Ensure that the switch contact slide is aligned with the actuating pin on the lever.
2. Switch to the bracket with two screws.

Tighten switch to bracket screws to 4 Nm (35 inch lbs.).
3. Switch harness to the indicator assembly.
4. Front floor console.
5. Negative battery cable.
Shift Select Switch Replacement
REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Shift select switch from the instrument panel.

Pull the tabs on rear of switch in and pull the switch straight out from the panel.
2. Electrical connector from the shift select switch.
INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Electrical connector to shift select switch.
2. Shift select switch into the instrument panel.

Ensure the shift select switch locks into the instrument panel.
