Transmission Cooler: Service and Repair
Backflushing Procedure
1. Connect the hoses to the oil cooler lines opposite from the initial flushing procedures in order to perform a backflush.
2. Repeat the flushing procedure from the initial flushing procedure except, backflush the cooling system for only 1 minute.
3. Switch the water valve on the tool to the OFF position and turn the water supply OFF at the faucet.
4. Attach the air supply to the air valve located on the plumbing of the tool and dry the cooling system out with air for at least 2 minutes.

Dry the system for a longer period of time if the moisture is visible exiting from the oil cooler line discharge hose.

Use an air chuck clip, if available, in order to secure the air chuck onto the air valve for ease of operation.
5. Remove the discharge and flushing tool hoses from the oil cooler lines.
6. Connect the oil cooler lines to the transmission.
7. Clean the tool after every third use.
