Passenger Assist Handle: Service and Repair
Assist Handle Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Carefully insert a flat-bladed tool between the cover and the handle in order to remove the assist handle covers.
2. Remove the screws that retain the assist handle to the vehicle.
3. Remove the assist handle from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the assist handle to the vehicle.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
2. Install the screws that retain the assist handle to the vehicle.
Tighten the screws to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
3. Install the assist handle covers. Position the covers and snap into place.
