Parking Brake Lever: Service and Repair
NOTE: Clean and lubricate the parking brake assembly and cables with Lubricate GM P/N 1050109 or equivalent. Do not allow the lubricant to contact
the brake drum or lining surfaces.
Parking Brake Lever And Shield
REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Release parking brake.
2. Left side sound insulator panel.
3. Loosen front cable at equalizer.
Parking Brake Release Handle
4. Screw from parking brake switch.
5. Release handle.
6. Lever assembly.
7. Cable from lever.
8. Press in the retaining fingers.
9. Retainer from lever bracket. Press in the retaining fingers.
