3. Remove the rocker arm stud (only if stud needs to be replaced).
4. Remove the valve pushrods.
5. Place the following parts in a rack so that they can be reinstalled in their original locations:

The rocker arm nuts.
^
The rocker arm balls.
^
The rocker arms.
INSTALLATION
1. Apply sealer to the threads of the new rocker arm ball stud.
NOTE: Be sure to keep parts in order. Parts must be put back from where they were removed.
2. Install the rocker arm stud.
^
Tighten the rocker arm ball stud to 47 Nm (35 ft. lbs.)
3. Coat the rocker arm and rocker arm ball bearing surfaces with prelube.
4. Install the valve pushrods. Be sure that the valve pushrods seat in the valve lifter sockets.
5. Install the following parts:
^
The rocker arms.
^
The rocker arm balls.
NOTE: No valve lash adjustment is needed.
^
The rocker arm nuts.

Tighten rocker arm nuts to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).
6. Install the rocker arm cover.
