Hose/Line HVAC: Service and Repair

Evaporator Tube And Accumulator

Remove or Disconnect

1. Negative battery cable.
2. Recover refrigerant from the system.
3. Evaporator tube clip screw.
4. Evaporator tube clip from accumulator.
5. Evaporator tube from evaporator.
6. O-ring seal.
7. Evaporator tube from condenser.
8. O-ring seal.

Install or Connect

1. New O-ring seal.

Coat O-ring seal with 525 viscosity refrigerant oil.

2. Evaporator tube to condenser

Tighten

-

Evaporator tube to 24 N.m (18 lb ft).

3. New O-ring seal.

-

Coat O-ring seal with 525 viscosity refrigerant oil.

4. Evaporator tube to evaporator.

Tighten

-

Evaporator tube to 24 N.m (18 lb ft).

5. Evaporator tube Clip to accumulator.
6. Evaporator tube clip screw.

Tighten

-

Screw to 1.9 N.m (17 lb in).

7. Negative battery cable.
8. Refrigerant to the system.

-

Check the system for leaks.
