Fuel Feed And Return Hoses From Engine Fuel Pipes

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Relieve the fuel system pressure. Refer to Fuel Pressure Release Procedure.
3. Remove the fuel hoses at the rear of intake manifold.
4. Remove the injector fuel in let and outlet pipe retainer nuts.
5. Remove the injector fuel inlet and outlet pipe retainer.
6. Remove the rear fuel pipe bracket retaining bolt.
7. Pull straight up on the fuel pipe in order to remove the fuel pipes from the injector assembly.
8. Remove the O-ring seals from both ends of the fuel feed and return pipes.
9. Discard the O-ring seals.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

1. Using the seal retainer tool, assemble the new O-rings into the inlet and outlet of fuel injector assembly.

WARNING:  In order to reduce the risk of fire and personal Injury, before connecting fuel pipe fittings, always apply a few drops of
clean engine oil to the male pipe ends. This will ensure proper reconnection and prevent a possible fuel leak.
