About the Silverado 3500
The Silverado 3500 is the one-ton heavy-duty Silverado. The Silverado replaced the C/K pickups for the 1999 model year, taking its name from the top C/K trim level, and it is mechanically identical to the GMC Sierra. More than 12 million have been sold. When a new generation arrived, the outgoing trucks were sold alongside it for a while, badged "Classic".
