Top of Frame Rail, DTC P0056, P0060, P013C, P013D, P014A, P014B, P0157, P0158, P0160, P0161, P0430, P2272 or P2273 Set (Replace O2 Sensor
(if Needed), Add Anti-Abrasion Electrical Tape)

2007-2010 GMC Sierra 2500, 3500 HD
All Equipped with 6.0L Engine (RPOs LY6, L96)

Condition
Some customers may comment that the malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) is illuminated. Upon further investigation, one or more of the following DTCs
may be set:

During diagnosis of the bank 2 sensor 2 O2 sensor, there may be evidence of the sensor pigtail wires chaffing along the top of the frame rail, near the
pigtail connector.
Cause
The routing of the O2 sensor pigtail could allow the pigtail wires, which are exposed beyond the protective sheathing, to contact the frame rail.
Correction
Important
If any evidence of chaffing or rubbing has occurred on the O2 sensor pigtail wires as described above, do not attempt to repair the wires.
Replace the O2 sensor and add anti-abrasion electrical tape using the following procedure.

This repair requires a unique anti-abrasion electrical tape from Kent Automotive. Refer to the Parts Information below.
