Silverado Classic 1500 4WD V8-5.3L Hybrid (2007)
5. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.
Install the oil pan bolts.
Tighten the bolts alternately and evenly to 11 Nm (97 inch lbs.).
6. Install the catalytic converter. Refer to Catalytic Converter Replacement.
7. If previously removed, install the range selector cable bracket and bolts.
Tighten the bolts to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).
8. Apply a small amount of sealant GM P/N 12346004 (Canadian P/N 10953480), or equivalent to the threads of the oil pan drain plug, if equipped.
9. Lower the vehicle.
10. Fill the transmission to the proper level with DEXRON(r) VI transmission fluid. Refer to Transmission Fluid Check and Fluid Capacity
Specifications.
11. Check the COLD fluid level reading for initial fill only.
12. Inspect the oil pan gasket for leaks.
Secondary Fluid Pump Filter Replacement
Secondary Fluid Pump Filter Replacement (5.3L Engine w/RPO HP2)
Removal Procedure
1. Remove the secondary fluid pump. Refer to Secondary Fluid Pump Replacement (5.3L Engine w/RPO HP2).
2. Remove the push-on clip (111) from the secondary fluid pump (108).
3. Rotate the filter upward and separate the filter (112) from the pump.
