Auxiliary Battery Negative Cable Replacement
Auxiliary Battery Negative Cable Replacement (6.0L and 8.1L Engines)
Removal Procedure
Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution.
1. Disconnect the auxiliary battery negative cable.
2. Remove the auxiliary battery cable clips from the studs at the front of dash.
3. Remove the engine sight shield.
4. Remove the engine wiring harness/auxiliary negative battery cable bolt.
5. Remove the auxiliary negative battery cable.
Installation Procedure
Important: Install the engine wiring harness ground terminal on top of and inboard of the auxiliary negative battery cable ground
crimp.
1. Install the auxiliary negative battery cable.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.
2. Install the engine wiring harness/auxiliary negative battery cable bolt.
Tighten the bolt to 16 N.m (12 lb ft).
3. Install the engine sight shield.
