Oil Filter Adapter: Service and Repair

Oil Filter Adapter and Oil Cooler Assembly Replacement (RPOs LBZ/LLY) 

Removal Procedure

1. Drain the engine coolant and the engine block. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System (Static Fill) Draining and Filling Cooling System

(w/RPO HP2) Draining and Filling Cooling System (Vac-N-Fill).

2. Remove the left front tire.
3. Remove the left wheelhouse inner panel.

4. Loosen the water pump outlet pipe nuts at the coolant pipe.

5. If equipped, remove the oil pan skid plate bolts and plate.

6. Remove the oil filter.
