13. Ensure that the yellow identification band on the tube is hidden within the quick connect fitting.
14. A hidden yellow identification band indicates proper joint seating.
15. Fill the transmission to the proper level with DEXRON(R) III transmission fluid. Refer to Transmission Fluid Check (See: Testing and

Removal Procedure
1. Remove the front bumper fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement (Escalade) Front Bumper Fascia Replacement (Tahoe) Front

2. Remove the front upper fascia support fasteners in order to tip the bracket back. Refer to Front Upper Fascia Support Bracket Replacement .
3. Remove the transmission fluid cooler hose from the auxiliary oil cooler. Refer to Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting
Disconnection and Connection (See: ) .
4. Remove the transmission fluid cooler hose from the radiator. Refer toTransmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Disconnection
and Connection (See: ) .
5. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
6. Remove the engine protection shield. Refer to Engine Shield Replacement .
