Keyless Entry Receiver: Description and Operation
The remote control door lock receiver (6) is located under the instrument panel to the right of the steering column. The door lock control module is
integrated into the receiver. The receiver directly controls the functions of the keyless entry system. The receiver is able to receive signals from up to
four transmitters, and must be programmed to accept signals from any transmitters that are to be added or replaced.
The transmitter unit (3) is a battery powered, water resistant, radio frequency signal generator. Two transmitters are provided with each vehicle. The
receiver is capable of recognizing up to four transmitters. Replacement transmitters for the vehicle may be obtained, however the receiver must be
reprogrammed to accept the new transmitter. Refer to Transmitter Programming.
