Trim the shaded material from the hole (1). Refer to Figure 4.

Water leaks through the vent (1) in the rear quarter trim panel. Refer to Figure 1.
Cause
The hem flange may not be sealed properly or the garnish molding retaining screws may have been driven through the plastic retaining nut in the wrong
location. Refer to Figure 5 for area of the leaks.
Correction
Seal the hem flange with 3M(R) Heavy Drip Check(TM), P/N 8531, or equivalent.
Condition 6
Water leaks through the trim panel escutcheon (2) on the rear quarter panel. Refer to Figure 1.
