GENERATOR DRIVE BELT REMOVAL PROCEDURE

1. Remove the power steering pump and the A/C compressor drive belt.
2. Loosen the generator mounting bolts.
3. Pivot the generator towards the engine and remove the accessory drive belt.

GENERATOR DRIVE BELT INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

1. Properly route and install the generator drive belt on the pulleys.
2. Adjust the drive belt tension to obtain the specified deflection with 10 kg (22 lbs.) (thumb pressure) of force applied. 

Used Belt Deflection:  6-8 mm (0.24-0.31 inches)
New Belt Deflection:  5-7 mm (0.20-0.27 inches)

3. Tighten the generator mounting bolts.

Tighten the generator mounting bolts to 33 Nm (24 ft. lbs.).

NOTICE:  Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions. 

4. Install the power steering and the A/C compressor drive belt.
