5. Inspect for the following conditions:

That the belt is properly installed on all pulleys.

When a new belt is correctly installed, the hash mark (3) will be within the indicated range (2) on the tensioner.
^
If the tension indicator mark (4) is to the left of the hash mark (3), the belt must be replaced.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
6. Connect the negative battery cable.
Tighten the battery cable bolt to 15 Nm (11 ft. lbs.).
