Fuel Pressure Gauge Installation

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

1. Relieve the fuel system pressure. Refer to Fuel Pressure Relief Procedure.
2. Disconnect the J 34730-1A fuel pressure gauge from the J 41041 fuel pressure gauge adapter. Use a shop towel in order to catch any remaining

fuel that may leak.

3. Disconnect the J 41041 fuel pressure gauge adapter from the fuel rail. Use a shop towel in order to catch any remaining fuel that may leak.

NOTE:  Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

4. Install the fuel rail plug bolt (1) and a new gasket to the fuel rail.

Tighten
Tighten the fuel rail plug bolt to 30 N.m (22 lb ft).

5. Connect the negative battery cable.

Tighten
Tighten the negative battery cable terminal retainer to 8 N.m ( 72 lb in).

6. Turn ON the ignition in order to pressurize the fuel system.
7. Turn OFF the ignition.
8. Check for any fuel leaks and repair as necessary.
