Oil Pressure Switch (For Fuel Pump): Service and Repair

Engine Oil Pressure Switch Replacement (L34)

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

The engine oil pressure switch (2) is located in the engine block beneath the exhaust manifold and to the right of the exhaust manifold lower support
bracket.

1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle.
2. Remove the 4 bolts (1,2,3,4) which secure the steering linkage skid plate (5), if equipped.
3. Remove the steering linkage skid plate (5) from the vehicle by sliding forward and lowering from the vehicle, if equipped.

4. Disconnect the engine oil pressure sensor electrical connector.
5. Remove the oil pressure sensor (2) from the block.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

NOTE:  Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
