Adjustable Link (Rear Suspension): Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE 

1. Raise and support the vehicle.
2. Remove the rear axle tie rod mounting bolts (1,3).
3. Remove the rear axle tie rod (2).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE 

1. Install the rear axle tie rod (2) to the rear axle and to the vehicle body.
2. Install the mounting bolts (1,3) and washers (4). Do NOT tighten the bolts.

NOTICE:  Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Lower the vehicle and, with the weight of the vehicle on the tires and wheels, tighten the mounting bolts.

Tighten the mounting bolts to 90 Nm (65.0 ft. lbs.).
