Spare Tire: Service and Repair
The spare tire is a full-size radial tire, identical in size to the other four tires. The spare tire and wheel assembly and the spare wheel carrier is on the
rear door. As with all the other tires on the vehicle, replace the spare tire and wheel assembly with equipment that has the same load capacity,
diameter, rim width, offset and mounting configuration as the original spare tire and wheel assembly.
REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Unlock and remove the spare wheel lock (3).
2. Remove the spare wheel stowage cover nut.
3. Remove the spare wheel stowage cover (2).
4. Remove the 2 wheel nuts (2,3).
5. Remove the spare tire and wheel assembly (1).
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
CAUTION: Operating a vehicle with wheels or tires of improper size may result in loss of control, personal injury or property damage.
IMPORTANT: Ensure the wheel balance weight is on the lower left quadrant (5) in order to allow installation of the spare wheel stowage cover.
