Spare Tire Cover Replacement (Disc Style)

Removal Procedure

1. Unlock and remove the spare wheel lock (3).
2. Remove the spare wheel stowage cover nut.
3. Remove the spare wheel stowage cover (2).

Installation Procedure

Notice:  Refer to Fastener Notice  in Cautions and Notices.

1. Install the spare wheel stowage cover (2) to the spare tire. Secure with the cover with the nut.

Tighten the spare wheel stowage cover nut to 95 N.m (69 lb ft).

2. Install and lock the spare wheel lock (3).

Removal Procedure

1. Unzip the spare wheel cover. Lower the front portion of the cover in order to access to the spare wheel lock and the 3 retaining lug nuts.
2. Remove the spare wheel lock and the 3 retaining lug nuts.
3. Remove the spare tire and wheel assembly from the spare tire carrier.
4. Remove the spare tire cover from the spare tire and wheel assembly.

Installation Procedure

Important:  Ensure that the spare tire cover stud holes are lined up with the wheel assemblies stud holes. This is done in order to properly
retain the cover to the spare tire assembly and the spare tire carrier.
