Spark Plug Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

NOTE:  This engine is equipped with an aluminum cylinder head. Allow the engine to cool before removing spark plugs. Removing the spark plugs
from an engine at operating temperature may damage the spark plug threads in the cylinder head. Also be sure to clean any dirt or debris from around
spark plug holes prior to removing spark plugs.

1. Remove the two fasteners and the ignition coil cover (2) from the valve cover (1).

2. Disconnect the ignition coil electrical connector.
3. Remove the bolt (1) and the ignition coil (2) for each cylinder.
4. Remove each spark plug (3) from the cylinder head.
5. Inspect the condition of the spark plugs. Refer to Spark Plug Inspection.
