Liftgate Hinge Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the liftgate window. 
2. Remove the liftgate struts. 
3. Disconnect the liftgate to body wiring harness connector. 

4. Remove the liftgate hinge pivot retainers (1) from the liftgate hinge pivots.
5. With the aid of an assistant, remove the liftgate from the body side hinge by sliding the liftgate to the left disengaging the hinge pivots from the

bushings.

6. Place the liftgate on a clean, protected surface.

7. Remove the liftgate hinge bushings (1) from the liftgate hinges.
