Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Assembly Replacement - Bank 1

Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Assembly Replacement - Bank 1 (LLT) (3.6L;)

Removal Procedure

1. Relieve the fuel system pressure. Refer to Fuel Pressure Relief (With CH-48027)   (See: Fuel Filter/Fuel Pressure Release/Service and Repair/Fuel

2. Remove the fuel pipe shield. Refer to Fuel Pipe Shield Replacement   (See: Fuel Supply Line/Service and Repair).
3. Remove the intake manifold. Refer to Intake Manifold Replacement   (See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Intake Manifold/Service and

Repair).

4. Remove the high pressure fuel pipe. Discard the pipe. Refer to Fuel Feed Intermediate Pipe Replacement (LLT)   (See: Fuel Supply Line/Service

and Repair). 

5. Remove the fuel rail crossover pipe. Refer to Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Crossover Tube Replacement (LLT)   (See: Fuel Injection Fuel Rail

Crossover Tube Replacement). Discard the pipe.

6. Remove the foam insulator from the fuel rails.

7. Disconnect the fuel pressure sensor electrical connector and cut the wire harness tie straps.
8. Remove the fuel rail (2) bolts (1).
