Battery Tray: Service and Repair
Battery Holddown
REMOVAL
1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position. Be certain that all electrical accessories are turned OFF.
2. Loosen the battery negative cable terminal clamp pinch-bolt hex nut.
3. Remove air cleaner housing. Refer to Fuel System for service procedure.
4. Remove battery splash shield. Refer to Body for service procedure.
5. Remove two short bolts from the battery hold down and remove the hold down from the vehicle.
INSTALLATION
1. Position the battery hold down and install the two short bolts. Torque the bolts to 14 Nm (125 in. lbs.).
2. Install battery splash shield. Refer to Body for the procedure.
3. Install air cleaner housing. Refer to Fuel System for the procedure.
4. Install the battery negative cable remote terminal.
