THIS BULLETIN SUPERSEDES TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN 24-04-94 REV. A DATED OCT. 14, 1994 WHICH SHOULD BE REMOVED
FROM YOUR FILES AND NOTED IN THE 1994 TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN MANUAL (PUBLICATION NO. 81-699-95054). THE
MODELS, PARTS, AND REPAIR PROCEDURE HAVE BEEN REVISED.
MODELS:
1993 - 1997 (LH) Concorde/Intrepid/Vision/LHS/New Yorker
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
Seized or frozen blower motor caused by excess water entering through the fresh air intake after vehicle sets for a long period of time in freezing
weather. This condition can occur when the vehicle is:

Subjected to certain car washes or other extreme circumstances introducing a large volume of water into the wet plenum; and
^
The mode is set to "OUTSIDE AIR"; and
^
The blower speed is on "HIGH" or "M2".
DIAGNOSIS:
If water has collected in the blower motor housing and the vehicle is subjected to below freezing temperatures perform the Repair Procedure.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
This bulletin involves drilling a hole in the blower motor cover, modifying the right heat distribution duct and replacing the cowl plenum screen.
1.
Loosen and lower the right side of the right heat distribution duct.
2.
Drill one 1/16" hole in the center of the blower motor cover to drain any water present and allow for future drainage, Figure 1.
NOTE:
CARE MUST BE TAKEN WHEN DRILLING HOLE IN ORDER TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO BLOWER MOTOR LOCATED ON THE
OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE BLOWER COVER. DO NOT DRILL HOLE LARGER THAN SPECIFIED. THIS WILL ALLOW COLD AIR TO
