Crossfire V6-3.2L VIN L (2004)
WHEEL, STEERING COLUMN, OR INSTRUMENT PANEL COMPONENT DIAGNOSIS OR SERVICE. DISCONNECT AND ISOLATE THE
BATTERY NEGATIVE (GROUND) CABLE, THEN WAIT TWO MINUTES FOR THE AIRBAG SYSTEM CAPACITOR TO DISCHARGE
BEFORE PERFORMING FURTHER DIAGNOSIS OR SERVICE. THIS IS THE ONLY SURE WAY TO DISABLE THE AIRBAG SYSTEM.
FAILURE TO TAKE THE PROPER PRECAUTIONS COULD RESULT IN ACCIDENTAL AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT AND POSSIBLE
PERSONAL INJURY.
1. Install the multifunction switch to the steering column.
2. Install the wire harness to the steering column.
3. Connect the multifunction switch harness connectors.
4. Install the screws (2) attaching the multifunction switch to the steering column.
5. Install the bracket on the top of the multifunction switch.
6. Install the screw (1) attaching the speed control switch to the multifunction switch.
7. Install the lower instrument panel.
8. Install the clockspring.
9. Install the steering wheel.
10. Connect the negative battery cable.
