SYMPTOM/CONDITION
Vehicle may exhibit a driveway'dieout at idle or when shifting. from PARK or NEUTRAL to DRIVE or REVERSE following cold engine starts at
ambient temperatures below 32~F (O~C).
DIAGNOSIS
This condition will only occur on the first start after an overnight soak when the outside temperature is below 32~F 0~C). Following cold engine startup
(using the recommended starting procedure), dieout may occur on extended idle and/or during PARK/NEUTRAL to DRIVE/REVERSE gear
engagement at idle.
Before proceeding to the repair procedure, verify the system is functioning as designed using the appropriate diagnostic test procedure.
