SYMPTOM/CONDITION
Subject model vehicles may exhibit a condition in ambient temperatures below 50~F of cold engine crank times in excess of 10 seconds.
The long crank times may be caused by excessive evaporation of fuel from the carburetor float bowl which can be corrected by the following service.

REPAIR PROCEDURE
1.
Remove bowl vent hose from carburetor.
2.
Cut rubber bowl vent hose 1-1/2" from carburetor end.
3.
Attach the 1-1/2" hose cut in Step 2 above to thermal bowl vent valve end marked "carb" and reconnect to carburetor bowl vent nipple.
4.
Attach loose bowl vent hose to open end of thermal bowl vent valve.
5.
California Vehicles Only - wipe clean existing hose routing label and apply appropriate supplied hose routing label over original label.
