Chrysler New Yorker workshop manuals
Chrysler New Yorker at a glance: 9 manuals, covering 1982 to 1994 models, with engines from 2.2 to 5.2 litres.
About the New Yorker
The New Yorker was made from 1940 to 1996 and was Chrysler's most prestigious model for most of that time; when it ended it was the longest-running American car nameplate. In its last years it changed platform several times: a rear-drive M-body for 1982, a front-drive E-body from 1983, a C-body from 1988 and a stretched LH platform from 1994.
What these manuals cover
- 1982 (rear-wheel drive): the 3.7-litre straight-six and the 5.2-litre V8.
- 1983–1986 (E-body): the 2.2-litre four with a carburettor, throttle-body injection or a turbo, and the 2.5-litre four.
- 1989–1992 (C-body): the Mitsubishi 3.0-litre V6, then Chrysler's 3.3-litre V6.
- 1994 (LH): the 3.5-litre V6.
Tip: the 1994 New Yorker is a stretched LH car, so the Concorde manuals with the 3.5 V6 cover much the same mechanical work.
