Ignition Lock Cylinder Replacement
Ignition Lock Cylinder Detents
The lock cylinder is inserted in the end of the housing opposite the ignition switch. The ignition key rotates the cylinder to 5 different detentes:

Accessory

Off (lock)
-
Unlock
-
On/Run
-
Start
If the vehicle has a column shifter, install a new interlock cassette as outlined under "Ignition Interlock Service." If the vehicle has a floor shift,
adjust the interlock cable as outlined under "Ignition Interlock Service."
1.
Disarm airbag as outlined under "Precautions."
2.
Disconnect battery ground cable.
3.
Remove tilt lever.
4.
Remove upper and lower column covers.
Lock Cylinder Removal
5.
Turn ignition key to Run position then depress the lock cylinder retaining tab and slide the cylinder out of the housing.
INSTALLATION
1. Install key in lock cylinder. Thrn key to run position (retaining tab on lock cylinder can be depressed).
