ASTERISKS HAVE BEEN INCLUDED.
SUBJECT:
Front Power Memory, Heated Seats and/or Adjustable Pedals Performance
OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves performing several checks of electrical components and checking the Memory Heated Seat Adjustable Pedal Module for current
part number and if need be, replace module.
NOTE:
Fully familiarize yourself with the contents of this bulletin before proceeding.

Vehicles built on or before July 5, 2005 (MDH0705XX) (2005 Model Year and earlier) may have an ungrounded upper seat track that can cause
the Memory Heated Seat Adjustable Pedal Module to "lock up and become non-responsive.

Vehicles built on or before December15, 2005 (MDH1215XX) may have a loose connection in the Integrated Power Module (IPM) that may
cause circuit interruption for the power feed to the Memory Heated Seat Adjustable Pedal Module.

Static electricity generated in the drivers seat may discharge through the Memory Heated Seat Adjustable Pedal Module causing it to "lock up
and become non-responsive.

Memory Heated Seat Adjustable Pedal Modules can not be reprogrammed (Flashed) at this time. If the module number is not up to date, module
replacement is required.

SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
The front power memory, heated seats and/or adjustable pedals may exhibit one or more of the following Symptom/Conditions:

Heated seats do not get warm enough.
^
Module may become non-responsive (lock up) and the system becomes inoperative.
^
Become inoperative due to a spread electrical terminal in the Integrated Power Module (IPM).
^
Become inoperative due to a seat track grounding issue.
DIAGNOSIS:
1.
Open drivers side rear door and using a mirror, look under front seat. Inspect for upper seat track ground on inboard side.(Fig. 9 ), callout # 2 and
# 3 for location of ground wire and connection. Is ground wire connection present on upper seat track?
a. Yes >>> SEAT TRACK GROUNDING REPAIR PROCEDURE will NOT need to be performed. Continue with
b.
No >>> SEAT TRACK GROUNDING REPAIR PROCEDURE below WILL need to be performed as described later in this bulletin.
Continue with below.
2.
Check vehicle build date. Was the vehicle built AFTER December 15, 2005 (MDH1 205XX)?
a.
Yes >>> proceed to Step # 1 of: CHECK MODULE PART NUMBER procedure.
b.
No >>> continue with Step # 3 below.
