A/C Line - Removal
Discharge Line
REMOVAL

and cautions could result in possible personal injury or death.
NOTE: Before removing the A/C condenser, note the location of each of the radiator and condenser air seals. These seals are used to direct air
through the A/C condenser and the radiator. The air seals must be reinstalled in their proper locations in order for the A/C and engine cooling
systems to perform as designed.
1. Recover the refrigerant from the refrigerant system See: Heating and Air Conditioning/Service and Repair/Refrigerant System Recovery.
2. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
3. Remove the radiator closure panel See: Body and Frame/Radiator Support/Service and Repair/Radiator Closure Panel/Removal.
4. Remove the front fascia.
5. Remove the retaining pins (1) that secure the radiator end air seal (2) to the right side of the A/C condenser (3) and remove the air seal.
6. Remove the nut (1) that secures the A/C discharge line (2) to the right side of the A/C condenser (3).
7. Disconnect the A/C discharge line from the A/C condenser and remove and discard the O-ring seal and gasket.
