Radio Speaker Misdiagnosis - Rattle/Buzz Sounds in Door
OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves diagnosing and replacing the door water shields with an improved part, isolating the courtesy lamp located in the front door
panels, and replacing any damaged door panel clips.

SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
Some customers may experience buzz or rattle sounds coming from the doors when operating the radio or CD. These sounds may be misinterpreted as
speaker rattle.
DIAGNOSIS:
If the symptom/condition is present, perform the Repair Procedure.
PARTS REQUIRED:
REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1.
Following the procedures in DealerCONNECT > TechCONNECT remove all 4 door panels.
2.
Remove the existing watershields and discard.
3.
Using 3M adhesive cleaner or equivalent, clean the door panel to provide a clean surface for the new watershield.
