NOTE:

Vehicles built on or after September 16, 2004 through and including November 22, 2004 already have the updated driver's door switch module.
Replacing the driver's door switch module should not be necessary on these vehicles.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:

1.

Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2.

Remove the driver's door trim panel. Refer to the service information in TechCONNECT. Refer to 23 - Body/Door - Front/Trim Panel - Removal.

3.

Remove the door tweeter speaker. Refer to the service information in TechCONNECT. Refer to 8 - Electrical/Audio/Speaker - Removal (Fig. 1).

4.

Remove the power seat switch. Refer to the service information in TechCONNECT. Refer to 8 - Electrical/Power Seats/Driver Seat Switch -
Removal.

5.

Replace the driver's door interior handle, p/n 05170262AA, as described on Mopar Instruction Sheet K6853619 included in the handle kit.

6.

Install the power seat switch.

7.

If the vehicle was built on or before September 15, 2004, proceed to Step # 8. If the vehicle was built on or after September 16, 2004 (MDH
0916XX) through and including November 22, 2004 (MDH 1122XX), proceed to Step # 9.

NOTE:

Vehicles built on or after September 16, 2004 through and including November 22, 2004 already have the updated driver's door switch module.
Replacing the driver's door switch module should not be necessary on these vehicles.

8.

Replace the driver door switch module, p/n 04685980AG. Refer to the service information available on TechCONNECT. Refer to 8 -
Electrical/Electronic Control Modules/Door Module - Removal/Installation.

9.

Install the door tweeter speaker.
