Engine Torque Strut: Service and Repair

TORQUE STRUT 
REMOVAL 

1) Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2) Raise and support the vehicle.
3) Support the transmission with a floor jack.

4) Remove the torque strut (Fig. 121).

INSTALLATION 

1) Install the torque strut (Fig. 122). Tighten the fasteners to 54 Nm (40 ft. lbs.).
2) Remove the floor jack
3) Lower the vehicle.
4) Reconnect the negative battery cable.
