Liftgate Lock Cylinder

Removal

REMOVAL

NOTE: Do not remove the E-clip from the back of the lock cylinder.

1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the latch control See: Trunk / Liftgate Latch/Service and Repair/Latch Control - Removal.
3. Disengage the retainer clip that secures the lock cylinder (2) to the liftgate (1) and remove the lock cylinder and gasket.

Installation

INSTALLATION

1. Position the lock cylinder (2) and gasket to the liftgate (1).
2. Install the retainer clip that secures the lock cylinder to the liftgate. Make sure the retainer clip is fully engaged to the lock cylinder.
3. Install the latch control See: Trunk / Liftgate Latch/Service and Repair/Latch Control - Installation.
4. Reconnect the negative battery cable.
5. Verify liftgate lock cylinder and latch operation.
