Name Plate
Removal
REMOVAL
NOTE: Sedan model shown in illustration. Convertible model similar.
1. Mark exterior name plate attachment location on the front door (2) and decklid or liftgate (5) (depending on application) with a grease pencil or
other suitable device to provide reference marks for reinstallation.
2. Using a heat gun, gently apply heat in a circular motion to loosen the adhesive bond that secures the exterior name plate (1, 3 and 4), as required.
3. Using a trim stick C-4755 or equivalent, remove the exterior name plate by gently pry up at the corners and carefully pulling on the remaining
portion of the name plate.
4. Clean off all traces of adhesive or double sided tape from the panel with a general purpose adhesive remover.
Installation

1. Clean panel surfaces with isopropyl alcohol.
2. Remove the backing paper from the adhesive tape on the new exterior name plates (1, 3 and 4).
3. Position the exterior name plates to the front door (1) and decklid or liftgate (5) (depending on application) and align the name plates to the
previously marked locations, as required.
4. Install and press the exterior name plates securely to ensure the adhesive fully adheres to the body panels.
5. Clean away the reference points previously marked.
