Convertible Top Motor: Service and Repair
Removal
REMOVAL
1. Position the convertible top in the raised position.
2. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
3. Remove the rear seat cushion See: Seats/Seat Cushion/Service and Repair/Seat Cushion - Removal.
4. Remove the interior quarter trim panels See: Interior Moulding / Trim/Trim Panel/Service and Repair/Quarter Panel Trim/Removal - Convertible.
5. Remove the rear seat back See: Seats/Seat Back/Service and Repair/Seat Back - Removal.
6. Remove the push-pins (1) that secure the convertible top well (2) to the rear seat back panel (3) and body (4) and remove the well liner.
7. Remove the protective cover (3) from the top of the hydraulic pump/motor assembly (4) located on the shelf panel (2).
