Rail Seals-Folding Top

Removal

REMOVAL

1. Prior to removing the rail seals (1 and 2), determine the correct number of shims that will be required for installation.
2. Adhere tape to the side glass and mark the position of each rail seal in the fore/aft and up/down direction. This step is critical for positioning the

new seals.

3. Using a 04.0 mm drill bit, remove the four rivets on each rear rail seal.
4. Remove the old seal and retainer assemblies.

Installation

INSTALLATION

1. Position the new rail seals and retainer assemblies.
2. Verify that the holes in the canopy are lined up with the holes in the rear seal and retainer (2) and install the rear seal and retainer using blind rivets

(four per side).

3. Align front seals (1) to the marks located on the tape on the side glass and install the correct amount of shims.
4. Install the screws that secure the front rail seals. Tighten the screws to 5.5 Nm (49 in. lbs.).
5. Remove the tape from the side glass.
