Wheel Speed Sensor: Service and Repair
Front Wheel Speed Sensor - Removal
REMOVAL
NOTE: Before proceeding, See: Service Precautions/Brakes - Caution.
1. Raise and support the vehicle. See: Maintenance/Vehicle Lifting/Service and Repair
2. Right side sensor - Disconnect the wheel speed sensor cable connector (1) from the wiring harness on the inside of the frame rail above the front
suspension crossmember. The connector has a locking tab which must be pulled back before the connector release tab can be depressed, releasing
the connection.
3. Left side sensor - Disconnect the wheel speed sensor cable connector (5) from the wiring harness on the inside of the frame rail above the front
suspension crossmember. The connector has a locking tab which must be pulled back before the connector release tab can be depressed, releasing
the connection.
4. Left side sensor - Remove the speed sensor cable routing clips (4) from the brake tube (2) on the inside of and under the frame rail (3).
