Seat Belt Buckle - Removal

Front

REMOVAL

WARNING: Front seat belt assemblies must be replaced after a collision.

1. Remove center console See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Console/Service and Repair/Center Console - Removal.
2. Remove front seat cushion side shield two retaining screws.
3. Remove bolt attaching seat belt buckle to seat.
4. Remove seat belt buckle from seat.

Rear

REMOVAL

The rear seat belt buckles are riveted to the rear seat lower pivot. To service the rear seat belt buckles, the entire pivot assembly needs to be replaced.

Rear - PT27

REMOVAL

1. Open door and decklid.
2. Release the fold down rear seat and pull forward.
3. Remove the two screws at the side of the seat cushion shield at the buckle area (1).
4. Remove the two screws at the bottom of the cushion cover (1).
5. Pull cushion cover back far enough to get at the seat belt buckle anchor bolt.

6. Remove the anchor bolt (1) to the seat belt buckle and remove from seat.
